PLN Indonesia Power Receives the 2024 CSR & GDP Award from the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia
Jakarta, 8 May 2024 – Vice President (Wapres) of the Republic of Indonesia Ma'ruf Amin gave an award to PLN Indonesia Power (PLN IP) which has proven successful in improving community welfare through sustainable programs. PLN IP won 14 awards at the 2024 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainable Village Development (PDB) Awards held by the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration.
Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Ma'ruf Amin expressed his appreciation for the CSR program that has been implemented by State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), Private Companies and Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) as a form of support for the Government in achieving development targets and can benefit rural communities .
"I appreciate BUMN, Private Companies and BUMDes, which continue to be committed to their CSR activities and continue to help the Government in achieving development targets," said Ma'ruf.
Meanwhile, Main Director of PLN Indonesia Power, Edwin Nugraha Putra, said that the presence of the PLN Indonesia Power Generating Unit not only guarantees the reliability of electricity supply, but of course also brings other benefits to the community.
"PLN IP is here to make a real contribution to the nation and state, both in terms of meeting electricity needs and community welfare," said Edwin.
According to Edwin, PLN Indonesia Power has implemented a number of programs to improve community welfare, one of which is Exploring Mangroves to Empower Communities and Nature (Menyama Braya) and Family Food Security to Banish Stunting (Ketapang Kuning).
"These two programs have been proven to help improve people's standard of living, both in terms of health, education and the economy," said Edwin.
For PLN Indonesia Power's contribution in developing the environment around the corporation's power plants, it was awarded various award categories in the 2024 CSR & Sustainable Village Development (PDB) Awards.
"This award should not cause excessive satisfaction or pride, but this will be a booster for us to continue to improve our performance and provide more benefits to society," said Edwin.
This award in the field of CSR is an appreciation for state-owned, private and BUMDes companies that contribute to coaching, mentoring and village development programs through CSR programs.
The awards won by 12 PLN Indonesia Power Units at the 2024 CSR & GDP Awards included 14 trophies, including:
