Jakarta, 16 July 2024 – PT PLN Indonesia Power has once again demonstrated its strong commitment to social responsibility and community empowerment by winning several prestigious awards at the 2024 Indonesia Social Responsibility Award (ISRA) and the 2024 Bina Mitra UMKM Award.
In ISRA 2024, PLN Indonesia Power was awarded the Silver Awards for the Work, Prosperity, Independent Disability Empowerment Program in the Gender Equality and Social Inclusion category. This program has succeeded in empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve economic independence and prosperity.
Not only that, at the 2024 Bina Mitra UMKM Award event, PLN Indonesia Power received two Gold Winner awards. First, awards for Oyster Mushroom Cultivation MSMEs, Women Farmers & Food Processors who have successfully demonstrated significant business growth and sustainability. Second, the Kamojang Generation Business Unit (UBP) is recognized as the best MSME Development Company. This award recognizes PLN Indonesia Power's efforts in supporting and developing MSMEs, which contribute to improving the local economy and welfare of the surrounding community.
This success proves that PLN Indonesia Power does not only focus on providing electrical energy, but also plays an active role in supporting sustainable social and economic development. Edwin Nugraha Putra, President Director of PLN Indonesia Power, stated that every kilowatt produced by the company also has a positive impact on society and the environment.
With this award, PLN Indonesia Power has further strengthened its position as a leader in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices in Indonesia. It is hoped that this achievement can be an inspiration for other companies to take part in social development and community empowerment.
